Work has commenced on Phase II of the restoration of the church. Damp and damaged
plaster in the interior has been removed and re-rendered. The great east window, which is
the village war memorial, is to be cleaned, and repairs to the stonework undertaken. Work
on the chancel floor has been completed. The whole church is then to be redecorated. The
cost of this Phase is around £20,000 and we urgently need donations to make sure that we
hand this beautiful building on to future generations in good order. Perhaps our friends and
relations who have left the village to live abroad would like to help us with our work. Any

The unusual Bee Orchid (Ophrys apifera) has been seen in flower on the
