Despite evening rain, the annual PTFA firework display at the primary School
raised in excess of £6,000. As usual, the display was of the highest quality, thanks to the PTFA's professional
team, and the stalls added to a remarkable family atmosphere. Grateful thanks were
expressed to all who worked so hard over the weekend.
New Teacher at Village School
Wisbech St Mary C of E Primary School is delighted to welcome Mr Joel
Price to the school. Mr Price, who recently has been teaching in the
Channel Islands, has been appointed to teach the new
fifth class. The Chairman of the school governors commented
that the fifth class is part of the school's policy of continuous
development and improvement and that rising numbers of children attending the
school, shows that the school is being seen by parents as a school of excellence,
in both the provision of facilities and of education. The new class has also meant
that class numbers are lower allowing for a lower ratio of pupil to teacher.
