Appeal Sunday Lunch Print E-mail

Parish Church Appeal 2001 - Sunday Lunch

The appeal Sunday Lunch was held on the 10th February 2001. 108 people attended and many were from some of the surrounding villages and from Wisbech itself.

The event was considered by all a most successful occassion. The atmosphere was electric and the food wonderful.

Following the meal, a draw was held and many prizes were revealed before an enthusiastic audience. The vicar, the Revd Colin Hurst, thanked all involved and especially praised the efforts of those who worked so hard in the preparation of the meal, especially Mrs Sarah Wheeler and Mrs Anne Desborough. The appeal chaiman, Mr Brian Payne, announced that the day had raised in excees of £1,200 and that events held to date had raised some £7,000. Mr Payne encouraged all to attend forthcoming fund-raising events.
