Police Performance Print E-mail
E-Cops has announced the following annual performance in the sector, which includes Wisbech St Mary.

"Our performance year came to an end on the 31st March 2009 and I would like to take the opportunity to share with you some of the positive outcomes on Central Division.

Central division is the policing area that includes Wisbech, March, Chatteris, Whittlesey, Ramsey, St Ives, Huntingdon, St Neots and associated rural areas.

Headlines:

·Central Division is at its lowest crime levels since the national crime recording standards were introduced in 2002 and more crimes have been solved than ever before – 6000 less victims of crime.

·From April 2008 to April 2009 there were 700 fewer victims of crime than in the same period the previous year, bucking the national trend.

·During this period 29.2 per cent of all crimes reported were solved, the highest percentage ever solved by any of the force's divisions in a single year.

·In the past 12 months 16.5 per cent of all dwelling burglaries were solved compared to 8.1 per cent the previous year.

·Customer Satisfaction - current figures for the last 12 month show us improving in all areas,

1. Whole Experience = 76.8% to 80.9% = Improvement
2. Ease of Contact = 91.8% to 94.5% = Improvement
3. Police Actions = 72.7% to 79.2% = Significant improvement
4. Treatment = 89.9% to 91.6% = Improvement
5. Follow Up = 60.1% to 66.3% = Significant improvement

·In the past 12 months more than £116,000 has been confiscated from criminals at court under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

This exceptional performance is a reflection of how hard the staff of Cambridgeshire Constabulary, our partners and the community we serve have worked together to tackle crime, disorder and anti social behaviour."
