The Curse of Fly Tipping
Fly Tipping is becoming an all too common event around the village lanes.
(the photograph to the right is but a typical example). It is all the more
surprising to see when you consider that Fenland District Council (FDC) provides
fee tipping at its site in Weasenham Lane. FDC has an e-mail address for reporting
tipping at - flytipping@fenland.gov.uk
or by telephoning 01354 654321.

Welcome Return of Barn Owls
More Barn Owls have been seen flying in the Wisbech St Mary area than
of recent years. It is thought that this is due to farmers providing
additional set-aside fields (encouraging their natural prey) together
with the provision of nest boxes. The sheer thrill of seeing these
wonderful birds is magical
